INGREDIENTS
Cornbread Batter
- 1 (8.5 ounce) package cornbread mix (such as Jiffy®)
- 🥛 1/3 cup milk
- 🥚 1 large egg
Filling & Toppings
- 2 (15 ounce) cans turkey chili with beans, undrained
- 🧀 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese, or as desired (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sour cream, or to taste (optional)
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Whisk together cornbread mix, milk, and egg in a bowl until slightly lumpy.
Pour turkey chili with beans into a 9-inch pie dish. Spoon cornbread batter over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven until cornbread edges begin to brown and the center is set, approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
Top each serving with Cheddar cheese and sour cream as desired before serving.
