- 2 tablespoons harissa paste
- π§ 2 cloves garlic
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- π§ 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- π₯ 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
- π 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- πΏ 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh parsley
- π§ 1/8 teaspoon salt
STEPS
Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat (350 to 375 degrees F).
Combine ground beef, ground lamb, egg, cilantro, onion, harissa paste, garlic, coriander, salt, cumin, turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Shape the mixture around 6 skewers, making the meat 1 inch thick.
Oil grill grates. Grill the koftas, turning occasionally, until an instant-read thermometer registers 160 degrees F in the center (approximately 15 minutes).
Prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, tahini, lemon juice, parsley, and salt in a small bowl. Serve the sauce with the koftas.
