Cut tofu into 2cm cubes and pat dry with paper towels.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over low heat and fry tofu until golden brown on all sides. Drain excess oil on paper towels.

Add ketchup, chili powder, gochujang, soy sauce, mirin, corn syrup, pepper, and 5 tbsp water. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
