INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 100g ground pork
Vegetables
- 200g lotus root
- 125g konjac
- đź§„ 1 clove garlic, minced
Oil
- 1 tsp salad oil
Spices
- Chili powder to taste
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp dashi powder
- đź’§ 100ml water
STEPS
Cut the lotus root into quarter slices and soak in water to remove excess starch. Mince the garlic.
Tear the konjac into bite-sized pieces using a spoon. Boil the konjac in water for 3 minutes and drain.
Heat salad oil in a pan over low heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant. Add ground pork and cook until browned.
Add lotus root and konjac to the pan, stir-frying until coated with oil. Add the seasoning mixture and bring to a boil.
Cover the pan and simmer on low heat for 8–9 minutes. Remove the lid and cook on medium heat for 1–2 minutes to reduce the liquid. Add chili powder and mix.
