INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🦑 1 cleaned squid
- 🥓 250g pork belly, sliced
- đź§… 1/2 onion, sliced
- đź§„ 10 cloves garlic, halved
- đź§„ 1/3 green onion, sliced
- 1 green chili, sliced
- 1/2 red chili, optional
Seasonings
- 3 tbsp cooking wine
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2.5 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 🍬 1.5 tbsp brown sugar
- đź§„ 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 🌾 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
STEPS
Clean the squid by removing the suction cups from the tentacles and cutting the tentacles into smaller pieces. Slice the body into 1.5 cm strips.
Mix the squid with 1.5 tbsp brown sugar in a bowl.
Slice the onion, green onion, green chili, and red chili. Halve the garlic cloves.
Combine red pepper flakes, minced garlic, cooking wine, soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, and sesame seeds in a bowl. Mix well.
Add the prepared vegetables to the seasoning mixture and mix thoroughly.
Cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces and cook in a pan over medium heat until golden and the fat is rendered.
Push the pork belly to the edges of the pan and place the seasoned squid in the center.
Mix the pork belly and squid together, stirring until the squid is fully cooked.
Serve hot with rice and optional lettuce wraps.
