INGREDIENTS
Bread
- 🍞 4 slices sandwich bread
Beef
- 🥩 200g beef sirloin steak
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧈 10g salted butter
Spread
- 🧈 10g salted butter
- 1 1/2 tbsp grain mustard
STEPS
Bring the beef to room temperature and season both sides with salt and pepper right before cooking.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the beef for 1.5–2 minutes on each side until browned. Add the sauce ingredients (mirin, soy sauce, butter) and coat the beef evenly. Wrap the beef in aluminum foil and let it rest for 5 minutes to finish cooking with residual heat.
Toast the sandwich bread slices in a toaster until golden brown.
Spread butter and grain mustard on two slices of bread. Layer half of the sliced steak on one slice, then top with another slice of bread. Repeat to make two sandwiches. Cut each sandwich in half.
