INGREDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 400g warm cooked rice
Meat
- 🥓 4 slices thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- pea shoots, as needed
Tools
- 4 sticks
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- đź§‚ 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
STEPS
Divide the rice into 4 portions, spread each portion on plastic wrap, place a stick in the center, and wrap the rice around the stick to form a cylindrical shape. Wrap pork belly slices around the rice. Repeat for all 4 sticks.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the wrapped rice sticks. Cook while rolling them until the pork is evenly browned and cooked through.
Add the seasoning mixture (sake, mirin, soy sauce, sugar) to the pan and simmer while coating the sticks until the sauce thickens and evenly coats the meat.
Serve on a plate and garnish with pea shoots.
