INGREDIENTS
Fruit
- 🥭 2 mangos - peeled, seeded, and cubed
- 🍓 15 fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
Liquids and Sweeteners
- ¼ cup apple juice
- 🧂 ½ cup white sugar
- 3 tablespoons honey
Dairy
- 🧈 ½ cup cold butter
Sweeteners and Spices
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Baking
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 (9 inch) refrigerated pie crust
STEPS
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place a mixing bowl in the refrigerator to chill.
Simmer mangos and apple juice over medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Add ¼ cup white sugar and honey, stirring in the strawberries. Reduce heat and simmer until the fruit softens.
Cut cold butter into small pieces. Combine with remaining ¼ cup white sugar, brown sugar, flour, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix until crumbly. Refrigerate until needed.
Pour mango mixture into a prepared pie crust and spread crumb mixture evenly over the top of the fruit.
Bake in preheated oven until topping is golden brown, about 20 minutes. Cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
