Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the coated bamboo shoots and pan-fry for 2–3 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove excess oil with a paper towel.

Add the seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce) to the pan and stir to coat the bamboo shoots evenly.
