INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 200g chicken hearts
- 200g chicken livers
- 🥛 sufficient milk for soaking
- 1 piece (250g) konjac
- 30g ginger, julienned
- 2 tbsp salad oil
- đź§… chopped green onion, as needed
- white sesame seeds, as needed
Seasoning
- 3 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- đź§‚ 3 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Prepare chicken hearts by removing white parts and thick blood vessels. Cut them open and wash out blood clots. Soak in milk for 5–10 minutes to remove odor, then rinse and pat dry.
Prepare chicken livers by removing white veins, blood clots, and discolored parts. Cut into bite-sized pieces, soak in milk for 5–10 minutes, rinse, and pat dry.
Julienne ginger and tear konjac into bite-sized pieces using a spoon.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat. Add ginger, chicken hearts, and livers, and stir-fry until the meat changes color. Add konjac and stir-fry until coated with oil.
Add the seasoning mixture (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce) to the pot. Mix well, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes.
Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion and white sesame seeds.
