INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- 5 tbsp salad oil
Meat Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- đź§„ 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- đź§‚ A pinch of salt and pepper
Sweet and Spicy Sauce
- 2 tbsp ponzu sauce
- 1/2 tbsp gochujang
- 🌰 1 tsp white sesame seeds
STEPS
Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix the chicken with the meat seasoning ingredients (sake, grated garlic, salt, and pepper) and let it marinate for 5 minutes. Add potato starch and mix well.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the chicken pieces skin-side down and pan-fry for 4 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the pieces and cook for another 3–4 minutes until fully cooked.
Remove the chicken and wipe the pan clean with a paper towel. Add the sweet and spicy sauce ingredients (ponzu sauce, gochujang, and sesame seeds) to the pan and heat on low until the gochujang dissolves. Return the chicken to the pan and coat it with the sauce.
