INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 2 chikuwa
- 🥕 1/2 carrot (75g)
- 1/2 block konnyaku (150g)
Cooking Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
STEPS
Slice chikuwa diagonally into 1cm pieces. Cut carrot into bite-sized chunks using a rolling cut method. Place carrot in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 2 minutes.
Tear konnyaku into bite-sized pieces. Boil konnyaku in a pot with enough water to cover it for 2 minutes, then drain.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat. Add chikuwa, carrot, and konnyaku, and stir-fry until evenly coated with oil.
Add the seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, and dashi powder) and mix well. Stir-fry for about 2 minutes until the mixture becomes glossy.
