INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 150g thinly sliced pork
Vegetables
- 🍠 1 medium sweet potato (250g)
- 🥕 1/2 carrot
- 🧅 1/2 onion
Oil
- 1 tsp salad oil
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 💧 150ml water
STEPS
Cut the sweet potato into bite-sized pieces and soak in water to remove excess starch. Cut the carrot and onion into bite-sized pieces.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat. Add pork and stir-fry until the color changes. Add sweet potato, carrot, and onion, and stir-fry until coated with oil.
Add all seasoning ingredients (☆) and mix well. Bring to a boil.
Skim off any foam, cover with a lid, and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes until the ingredients are tender.
