INGREDIENTS
Wet Ingredients
- 🧈 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 🧂 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Chocolate
- 1 1⁄3 cups dark chocolate chips, divided
STEPS
Preheat oven to 350°F and position a rack in the top third. Gather ingredients.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in sugar until dissolved, about 45 seconds.
Remove from heat and stir in sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup chocolate chips until smooth. Cool for 2 minutes.
Prepare an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray and parchment paper. Lightly spray the parchment with cooking spray.
Whisk the first egg into the chocolate mixture to temper it for 20 seconds. Repeat with the second egg. Mix in vanilla extract.
Add flour, cocoa powder, and kosher salt into the chocolate batter. Fold in remaining 1/3 cup chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared pan and place on the upper rack of the oven.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Optionally sprinkle flaky sea salt after 30 minutes.
Cool in pan on a wire rack for 1 hour. Remove brownies using parchment overhang, cut into 9 pieces, and serve.
