INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🟫 1 pound firm tofu
- 🥦 1 head broccoli
- 🍶 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 🌿 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
Flavorings & Oils
- 4 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic
- 🧅 2 scallions
- 💧 1/4 cup water
STEPS
Cut the tofu into 8 pieces and drain on paper towel for at least 20 minutes or up to 2 hours.
Heat a skillet over medium heat, add 2 teaspoons of oil, and fry tofu pieces until golden, about 3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, heat the remaining 2 teaspoons of oil. Add garlic and scallions and sauté until golden, about 2 minutes.
Add broccoli and water, raise heat to high, and cook until tender, about 4 minutes.
Return tofu to the skillet. Add soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and cilantro. Stir well until evenly coated.
Serve with a side of brown rice.
