INGREDIENTS
Fruit Filling
- 2 ½ cups fresh or frozen (thawed) blueberries
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 🧂 1 cup white sugar, or to taste
- ½ teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 🧈 1 tablespoon butter, melted
Topping
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 🧂 6 tablespoons white sugar
- 🧈 5 tablespoons butter
- 🥛 1 cup milk
- 🧂 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
STEPS
Lightly grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
Mix blueberries with vanilla, sugar, flour, and melted butter in the baking dish.
Prepare the topping by combining flour, baking powder, and sugar then cutting in butter until resembling coarse crumbs.
Add milk to the topping mixture and rest for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Spoon batter over blueberries, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix.
Bake for 25-35 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool until warm and serve with optional whipped cream.
