INGREDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 2 mackerel, gutted
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- Potato starch, as needed
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/4 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
Seasoning
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- Sesame seeds, as needed
- 3 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 💧 3 tbsp water
STEPS
Cut the mackerel into 4 pieces, pat dry, season with salt, and coat with potato starch.
Thinly slice the green onion.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan to 170°C and pan-fry the mackerel until golden brown on both sides.
In another pan, heat vegetable oil, sauté green onion and ginger over low heat until fragrant, then add the seasoning mixture and stir.
Add the fried mackerel to the sauce, coat evenly, and sprinkle sesame seeds before serving.
