Meat
- 500g pork shoulder block
Vegetables
- 1 stalk green onion (green part)
- 1 slice ginger
- 🧄 1 clove garlic
Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Seasonings
- 🧂 2 tbsp sugar
- 50cc sake
- 100cc soy sauce
- 300cc water
步驟
Slice the ginger thinly and cut the garlic in half lengthwise, removing the core.
Tie the pork shoulder tightly with kitchen twine.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat, add the pork, and sear for about 8 minutes until browned on all sides.
Add the seasonings (sugar, sake, soy sauce, water), green onion, ginger, and garlic to the pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat, cover, and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
Flip the pork, cover again, and simmer on low heat for another 20 minutes. Let it cool in the pot with the lid on.
Remove the pork, cut off the twine, and slice into desired thickness.
Serve the sliced pork on a plate and drizzle with the cooking sauce.
