Cut the cabbage into 1cm cubes and remove the core. Place the cabbage in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 2 minutes. Drain and let cool.

Cut the ham into 1cm cubes.

In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, sugar, and salt and pepper. Add the cabbage, chickpeas, and ham, and mix well.
