Main Ingredients
- 🍗 230g chicken
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic
- 7 tbsp cornstarch
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp mirin
- 1 pinch ginger powder
- 🧂 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch pepper
步驟
Finely chop the garlic to avoid burning during frying.
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Mix chicken, garlic, and all seasoning ingredients thoroughly.
Massage the chicken with the marinade and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Add cornstarch to the chicken and mix well.
Adjust the batter consistency so it sticks well to the chicken.
Perform the first fry at 170°C for 4–5 minutes to cook the chicken thoroughly.
Perform the second fry at 190°C for 2–3 minutes to achieve a golden color.
Serve the karaage with lemon wedges or shredded cabbage.
