Fish
- 🐟 2 fillets (160g) mackerel
Coating
- 2 tbsp potato starch
- 1 tbsp curry powder
Oil
- As needed salad oil
Seasoning
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍶 1 tbsp soy sauce

Cut the mackerel into 1cm wide pieces.

Place the mackerel and all ☆ seasonings (garlic, ginger, sake, soy sauce) into a storage bag. Massage and marinate for about 10 minutes.

In a bowl, mix potato starch and curry powder. Coat the marinated mackerel pieces evenly.

Heat about 1cm depth of salad oil in a frying pan. Place the mackerel skin-side down and pan-fry over medium heat, flipping occasionally until golden and cooked through.
