Insert your fingers into the squid's body to detach the muscles connecting the body and the innards. Slowly pull out the innards along with the tentacles. Remove the cartilage inside the body by pulling it out. Quickly rinse the body with water to remove any remaining innards.

For the tentacles: Cut below the eyes and open the tentacles. Pinch and remove the beak located at the center of the tentacle base. Stretch the tentacles and use a knife to open the tubular section. Scrape off the suction cups with your hands. Trim the two long tentacles to match the shorter ones and cut off the tips of all tentacles slightly.

To peel the skin: Insert your thumb between the body and the fin, sliding it to the tip of the fin to detach it. Hold the body with your left hand and pull the fin downward, peeling off the skin along with it. Use a kitchen towel to peel off the remaining skin. Lay the body flat with the cartilage side up and cut open the body lengthwise with a knife. Use a kitchen towel to lightly remove the thin inner skin. Trim the edges of the body.

For the innards: Pinch and pull out the ink sac attached to the innards. Separate the white part of the innards at the tip. Cut slightly to the right of the innards to remove unwanted parts.
