- 40 perilla leaves
- 🧅 1/4 onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp chopped green onion
Seasoning
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 💧 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
步驟
Wash 40 perilla leaves under running water and shake off excess moisture.
Prepare the seasoning by mixing soy sauce, chili powder, garlic, fish sauce, sugar, water, and sesame oil. Add sliced onion and chopped green onion to the mixture.
Layer 2-3 perilla leaves at a time, applying the seasoning evenly between layers. Use a microwave-safe dish for convenience.
Cover the dish lightly with plastic wrap and microwave for 1 minute.
Check the leaves and microwave for an additional minute if needed. Ensure the seasoning is absorbed and the onions are cooked.
Serve the steamed perilla leaves as a flavorful side dish.
