- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
Seasoning
- 1 tsp dashi powder
- 1 packet bonito flakes

Cut the nira into 4 cm lengths and slice the chikuwa into 5 mm widths.

In a pot, bring water and dashi powder to a boil. Add nira, chikuwa, sake, soy sauce, mirin, and bonito flakes. Simmer while stirring until the nira becomes tender.
