Chop the tomato into bite-sized pieces. Rub salt (not listed in ingredients) on okra, rinse, trim the stems, and slice diagonally into thirds.

Heat salad oil in a pot, add sliced pork and grated ginger, and stir-fry until the pork changes color.

Add water, granulated dashi, and salt to the pot. Bring to a boil, then add tomato and okra. Simmer for about 2 minutes, skim off any foam, and serve.
