Basic Ingredients
- 1 block firm tofu
- 6 perilla leaves
- 🥒 1/2 cucumber
- 🧂 1 pinch salt
- A dash of black pepper
Seasoning Sauce Ingredients
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/3 stalk green onion
- 1 green chili
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
步驟
Wash the cucumber with coarse salt and scrub thoroughly. Soak perilla leaves in cold water for 3 minutes, then rinse under running water.
Rinse the tofu block under running water and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
Season one side of the tofu with a pinch of salt and a dash of black pepper. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Slice the cucumber and perilla leaves into thin strips. Chop the green onion and green chili finely.
Mix soy sauce, sugar, chili powder, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a bowl.
Add sesame seeds, chopped green onion, and green chili to the sauce. Stir well.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add 2 tbsp of cooking oil. Place the seasoned side of the tofu down and pan-fry for 4–5 minutes until golden brown.
Transfer the tofu to a cutting board and slice into 4x4 cm squares.
Plate the tofu squares and top with sliced cucumber, perilla leaves, and a generous amount of sauce. Sprinkle extra crushed sesame seeds if desired.
