Vegetables
- 🥬 8 cabbage leaves
- 🥕 1/2 carrot, thinly sliced
- 🧅 1/2 onion, quartered
Seasoning
- 2 consomme cubes
- 💧 500ml water
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 🍅 50ml tomato ketchup
Meat Filling
- 300g ground meat
- 🧅 1/2 onion, minced
- 🥚 1 egg
- 🧂 Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Nutmeg to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 🥛 70–100ml milk
步驟
Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling water until softened. Set aside.
Prepare the meat filling by mixing ground meat, minced onion, egg, salt, pepper, nutmeg, breadcrumbs, and milk in a bowl.
Place a portion of the meat filling onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, tucking in the edges.
Heat olive oil in a pot and sauté the quartered onion and sliced carrot until slightly softened.
Arrange the cabbage rolls in the pot, add water, consomme cubes, bay leaf, and tomato ketchup.
Simmer the pot over low heat for 30–40 minutes until the rolls are cooked through.
