Remove seeds and pulp from the pumpkin, then cut into 3cm cubes.

In a pot, mix water and salt, then arrange the pumpkin cubes skin-side down. Cover with a lid and heat on medium until boiling.

Reduce heat to low and steam-simmer for 7–8 minutes until the pumpkin is tender.
