Fish
- 🐟 260g flounder fillets (2 pieces)
Vegetables
- 1 piece ginger, thinly sliced
- 4 shishito peppers
Seasonings
- 🍶 1 tbsp sake
- 100ml mentsuyu (3x concentrated)
- 💧 100ml water
步驟
Thinly slice the ginger with the skin on. Make shallow cuts into the shishito peppers.
Make shallow cross cuts on the skin side of the flounder fillets.
In a frying pan, combine the mentsuyu, water, and ginger. Heat over medium heat until it starts to simmer. Add the flounder with the skin side up.
Once the surface of the fish changes color, cover with a drop lid and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
Remove the drop lid, add the shishito peppers, and spoon the simmering liquid over the fish. Cook for another 5 minutes.
Plate the flounder and top with the shishito peppers. Serve immediately.
