    • 1 piece fried tofu (20g)
    • 200g frozen taro
  • Seasonings

    • 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
    • 2 tbsp mirin
    • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
    • 💧 100ml water

Pat the fried tofu with a paper towel to remove excess oil. Cut it in half along the shorter side, then slice into 1cm strips along the longer side.

In a microwave-safe container, mix all the seasonings (salt, mirin, soy sauce, dashi powder, and water). Add the taro and fried tofu, ensuring the tofu is submerged in the liquid. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 5 minutes.

Take out the container, stir the contents, and cover again with plastic wrap. Microwave for another 5 minutes. Let it cool slightly with the wrap still on.
