Place okra on a cutting board, sprinkle with salt, and roll to coat. Rinse off the salt, place in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 1 minute. Drain and let cool. Trim the tops and slice thinly.

Slice chikuwa diagonally into 5mm pieces.

In a bowl, mix soy sauce and wasabi. Add squid strips, chikuwa, okra, and sesame seeds, then toss to combine.
