Rice
- 🍚 1/2 cup sticky rice
- 💧 200 ml water
Vegetables
- 🥬 100 g bok choy
- 🧅 1/2 onion, minced
Meat
- 🐖 200 g ground pork
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 🧂 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper

Wash sticky rice and soak in water for at least 3 hours.

Mince the onion and cut bok choy into quarters.

Mix all ☆ ingredients in a bowl until sticky and well combined.

Divide the meat mixture into 12 portions, shape into balls, and coat with sticky rice.

Place the shumai on a cooking sheet in a pan with water. Add bok choy around the shumai, cover, and steam for 10–13 minutes over medium heat.
