    • 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
    • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp vinegar
    • 🍅 1 tbsp ketchup
    • 💧 2 tbsp water

Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces.

Place the chicken pieces in a plastic bag with the marinade ingredients (sake, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper) and massage to coat. Add cornstarch and mix to coat evenly.

Mix the sweet and sour sauce ingredients (sake, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, and water) in a bowl.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the chicken pieces skin-side down and fry for about 2 minutes until golden. Flip and fry for another 2–3 minutes until cooked through.

Turn off the heat and remove excess oil from the pan using a paper towel. Add the sweet and sour sauce and stir-fry over medium heat until the chicken is well coated.

Plate the chicken and sprinkle with white sesame seeds before serving.
