- 500g pork spare ribs
Cooking Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Spices
- 1 chili pepper
Liquid
- 💧 150cc water
Marinade
- 2 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍅 2 tbsp ketchup
- 🍯 2 tbsp honey
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic

Make small cuts and pierce the pork spare ribs with a fork.

Remove seeds from the chili pepper.

Place spare ribs and marinade ingredients in a plastic bag, massage, and let sit for 10 minutes.

Heat salad oil in a frying pan and sear the spare ribs on both sides until browned.

Add water, remaining marinade, and chili pepper to the pan. Simmer on medium-low heat for 15 minutes until the liquid reduces.
