Cut the tomato in half vertically, remove the stem, and slice into wedges. Then cut each wedge in half. Peel the garlic, remove the core, and crush it with the flat side of a knife.

Cut the boiled octopus into bite-sized pieces.

Heat olive oil, garlic, salt, and chili in a pan over low heat until fragrant. Add the octopus and simmer over medium heat. Once bubbling, add the tomato and stir until softened.
